Diana Gabaldon

I have yet to read Diana Gabaldon's "Outlander" and the rest of the books this series, but they are on my running list of books-to-read. I am quite excited to share a video where Ms. Gabaldon shares some of her tips on writing.

I think she makes a good point in her efforts to always be busy writing something; even if it isn't addressing the task at hand. I've heard it said less eloquently before. The butt in seat method of writing. BIS.

  1. We read Outlander in my former book club and this has made me appreciate it more. I love her sense of humour, the fact that she was so committed with such a full plate already at 35 and her two rules to don't stop and write your best. So funny that she totally let go of all the results of her first practice novel which ended up being published! Love the release and surrender of that...the universe responded generously with no conscious investment on her part to get paid for Outlander or anything. Good stuff, good stuff.
